How to make a resume in 2026
A great resume is one page, ATS-friendly, and specific. Here's how to write one in seven steps — or let Boltrez do it for you in five minutes.
01
Start with contact info
Name, professional email, phone, city, and LinkedIn. Skip your full address — the city is enough.
02
Write a 2–3 line summary
Who you are, your specialty, and your single biggest impact. This is the first thing a recruiter reads.
03
List experience in reverse-chronological order
Company, title, dates, and 3–5 bullets per role. Lead each bullet with an action verb and end with a measurable result.
04
Quantify everything you can
"Increased signups by 42%" beats "Improved the signup flow." If you don't have a number, use scale (team size, budget, users).
05
Match keywords to the job description
ATS software ranks resumes on keyword overlap. Mirror the exact skills and tools listed in the posting.
06
Add education and skills at the end
Degree, school, graduation year. Skills as a clean comma-separated list — no bar charts.
07
Export as a clean PDF
No tables, no text boxes, no icons. Test it in an ATS checker before you send.
