What we collect

• • Resume content you type or upload, including an optional photo, when you save a resume to your account.
• • Account details — your email address, and your name and photo if you sign in with Google.
• • Career profile — the details you fill in before using saved tools: name, work email, phone, current company and title, target role, seniority, experience, salary band, preferred location and optional LinkedIn link.
• • Usage events — which pages and features you use, so we can see what's working.
• • Recruiter purchases — payment confirmations from our payment provider. We never see or store card details.

If you use the builder or the career tools as a guest without signing in, we don't store your resume at all — the PDF is generated and handed to you.

How AI is used

When you ask for an AI rewrite, an ATS check or a career analysis, the relevant text is sent to a third-party AI provider through our AI gateway so the result can be generated. Boltrez does not use your resume to train AI models. Text you paste into the free career tools is used for that one request and is not saved to our database.

Recruiters see your profile only if you opt in

Recruiter visibility is a separate, unticked choice and is never bundled into signup. If you opt in, recruiters searching Boltrez see a masked profile — role, seniority, experience, location band — with no name, employer or contact details. Those details are revealed only when a specific recruiter spends credits to unlock your specific profile, and every unlock is logged for you to see. We never sell profiles to data brokers. People under 18 are excluded from recruiter search and keep full access to the free builder. Opt-in visibility ends automatically 18 months after your last activity.

Who else processes your data

We use service providers to run Boltrez: cloud hosting and database, authentication, an AI gateway for the writing and analysis features, and a payment provider for recruiter purchases. They process data on our instructions only.

How long we keep it

Saved resumes and your profile stay until you delete them or delete your account. Recruiter-pool visibility expires after 18 months of inactivity. Records of recruiter unlocks and payments are kept for accounting and dispute handling.

Your controls

From your privacy page you can see what you consented to and when, see every recruiter who unlocked you, switch recruiter visibility off immediately, and request deletion of your profile, resumes and activity.
