How we handle your data
Boltrez is free for candidates, so the obvious question is what happens to your information. This page describes what the product actually does today — not intentions.
Recruiter visibility is a separate choice
It's an unticked box with its own plain-language notice, shown in English or Hindi. Signing up or building a resume never opts you in, and we record which version of the notice you agreed to and when.
Recruiters see a masked profile first
Search results show role, seniority, experience and location band — no name, employer, email or phone. Those appear only when a specific recruiter spends credits to unlock your specific profile.
We don't sell profiles to data brokers
Candidate data is used to run Boltrez and nothing else. It isn't sold, rented or bundled into lists.
We don't train AI models on your resume
AI features send your text to a third-party AI provider only to produce the result you asked for. Text pasted into the free career tools isn't saved to our database at all.
Visibility expires on its own
After 18 months without activity, your profile leaves recruiter search automatically and we ask before bringing it back.
Deletion is self-service
From your privacy page you can withdraw consent instantly, or delete your profile, saved resumes and activity yourself. No email thread required.
Under 18
You have to confirm you're 18 or older to join the recruiter pool. Under-18 users keep full access to the free resume builder and career tools, and are excluded from recruiter search.
Indian data protection
We have built to the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — a clear notice before consent, consent recorded with its version and language, easy withdrawal, retention limits and a grievance contact. Current notice version: 2026-09-08.v1. This is a description of our practices, not a legal certification.
